Grid Strip is a smart, water-based delamination cleaner engineered to remove unwanted paint overspray from galvanised metal and plastic floor grids in paint application facilities such as OEM car plants and other heavy industrial sectors. Developed as a safer, low-temperature alternative to heated caustic baths, pyrolysis, and fluidised bed cleaning, it penetrates and softens solvent based and water-based primers, basecoats, and clearcoats at between 20–50°C — protecting substrates while delivering reliable results.
Powered by Terrafend’s advanced delamination and coating separation technology, Grid Strip prevents removed coatings from emulsifying in the solution, giving it exceptional longevity compared to traditional caustic cleaners. The result is reduced waste, lower costs, and cleaner grids with far less risk. Non-flammable, non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, and with VOCs of just 6.5%, Grid Strip can be deployed in ultrasonic tanks or standard heated tanks for maximum flexibility.
